Founded in 1885 in Hartmannsdorf near Chemnitz, Diamant is one of the oldest bicycle manufacturers in the country. Tradition and innovation are still closely intertwined today. The cultural bicycle brand Diamant stands for attention to detail and the highest quality made in Germany. From the bicycle paint job to the decorative stickers and the entire assembly, the majority of bicycle production is done by hand at the Hartmannsdorf production site.
In 1911, Diamant bicycles were given a face: the diamond head was registered as a trademark. The brand's reputation grew over the following decades through cycling racing successes. With these sporting successes, both production numbers and quality standards increased. In 1992, Diamant also produced its first electric bicycle – and today, it can look back on more than 20 years of e-bike experience.
The acquisition of Diamant by Trek Bicycle Corporation in 2002 marked another significant step forward. The new generation of Diamant bicycles is particularly impressive due to their innovative frame concepts, high-quality components, and harmonious designs.
