Domestic violence against women is a global crime that has been further exacerbated by the coronavirus-related measures. To raise public awareness of this important issue and provide perspectives for those affected, actress Natalia Wörner and UFA, among others, imitated the #sicherheim project.
As a digital platform with a comprehensive media campaign, #sicherheim actively combats violence against women. Because one's own home is supposed to be the safest place in times of crisis. However, for too many women, it isn't.
Along with patron Natalia Wörner, many other high-profile VIPs, such as Guido Maria Kretschmer, Frauke Ludowig, Jannis Niewöhner, Emilia Schüle, Jan Josef Liefers, Kida Khodr Ramadan, and Kristina Vogel, are also involved in the campaign against domestic violence. #sicherheim also receives political support, for example from Federal Minister for Women Dr. Franziska Giffey and various counseling centers.
